A proven low cost grain storage system is now available to North American farmers from Grain Bag System USA. The system, which consists of grain bags, grain baggers, and bag extractors provides storage for pennies per bushel. The baggers offered force grain in the bag and oxygen out. Any oxygen left in the sealed bag is consumed by the grain, eliminating insect infestation. With no oxygen in the bag, grain cannot heat or spoil. The special bag is comprised of resins with UV inhibitors to prevent bag degradation. The bagger will load up to 26,000 bushels per hour and will unload at 8500 Bu per hour. The system was developed in 1999 and has wide spread acceptance in Argentina, South Africa, and Australia.
